Aeris Research Labs LLC (“Aeris”, “we”, “us”) operates an online catalog of research compounds for sale within the United States. This Usage Notice describes the nature of our products, the conditions under which they are sold, and the responsibilities of everyone who places an order. By completing a purchase you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this notice in full, together with our Terms & Conditions and Returns Policy.

1. Product Category — Research Compounds

Aeris sells one product category: synthetic research compounds (peptides), supplied as lyophilized powder in sealed, tamper-evident vials with plain, unmarked packaging. These compounds are manufactured and sold strictly as Research Use Only (RUO) materials.

  • They are not drugs, medicines, dietary supplements, medical devices, or cosmetics.
  • They have not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or any other regulatory authority for use in humans or animals.
  • They are intended solely for laboratory and scientific research conducted by qualified individuals in appropriate research settings.
  • They are not for human consumption, veterinary use, or any in-vivo application.

Aeris reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order if there is reasonable evidence that a compound may be misused or applied outside its stated research purpose.

2. Buyer Eligibility & Acknowledgment

By placing an order you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age and have full legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • You are a qualified researcher, graduate student, laboratory professional, or an authorized representative of a research institution.
  • You have read this Usage Notice and understand the RUO nature of all products.
  • You will use the compounds solely for lawful scientific research purposes.
  • You will not ingest, inject, inhale, or otherwise apply any compound to yourself, another person, or any animal.
  • You will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing the acquisition, storage, handling, and disposal of research chemicals.
  • You will not transfer, resell, or redistribute any compound in a manner inconsistent with its RUO designation or in violation of applicable law.

3. Storage & Handling

To maintain compound integrity from the time of receipt:

  • Store lyophilized vials in a cool, dry location away from direct light and moisture.
  • Keep vials sealed until use in your research application.
  • Dispose of compounds and packaging in accordance with your institution’s laboratory-waste regulations and applicable local requirements.

Aeris ships all orders with tracked, temperature-appropriate packaging. Once a shipment is delivered and accepted, responsibility for correct storage passes to the buyer.

4. Limitation of Liability

Aeris Research Labs LLC is responsible for:

  • Supplying compounds as described at the time of shipment.
  • Ensuring package integrity when the order leaves our facility.
  • Meeting the committed shipping timeframe for each order.

Aeris is not responsible for:

  • Any use of a compound outside its stated RUO purpose.
  • Adverse reactions, injury, or other consequences arising from improper handling or any human or animal application.
  • Buyer’s failure to comply with applicable laws or with this Usage Notice.
  • Loss, damage, or delay caused by carriers after a shipment has been tendered.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aeris’s total liability for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

5. Returns & Order Issues

Returns are limited. Please review our full Returns Policy for details. Eligible situations include damage in transit, an incorrect item shipped, or a package confirmed lost by the carrier. If you believe your order qualifies, contact us at our support address (published before launch) within 24 hours of the delivery scan (or the expected delivery date for lost shipments), and include clear photographs of the packaging and vials.

6. Volume & Institutional Pricing

Research centers, universities, and other institutions requiring volume quantities are welcome to inquire about institutional or volume pricing. Email our support address (published before launch) with your organization name, intended compounds, and estimated quantities.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Usage Notice and any dispute arising from a purchase shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California.

8. Modifications to This Notice

Aeris may update this Usage Notice periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The current version is always available at /usage-notice/. Continued use of our store after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.
